Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 16 oz can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper- to taste
- 1 point shrimp, raw
Directions:
- In a large skillet, cook the onion, celery, green pepper and garlic with the butter until soft.
- Add the rest of the ingredients except shrimp and cook 5 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook 3-5 minutes more until shrimp is pink.
- Let sit 2 minutes.
- Serve over rice.
